What do I need to become a coach with APA?

1. An active APA membership. There is a coach only membership if you don’t plan on competing. However, if you are also a competitor, you do not need a coaching membership on top of your full membership.
2. Complete the free APA Introduction to Competition Day Coaching Course & Exam. If you have previously completed either the Powerlifting Australia or Australian Powerlifting Union course, you will be exempt from this step provided you email us with proof of completion.
3. SIA anti-doping certificate
4. An active Working with Children Check (you will need to email us with proof).
5. Sign the APA Coaching Code of Conduct.
